Sometimes around midnight and 2 am a tornado touched down in Gastonia North Carolina just a couple miles from where I live.  It also hit Mt Holly a few miles north of Gastonia.

I submitted some video footage to cnn, but something about their compression squeezed the video in a strange way.  Still trying to get their process down to something manageable.

I had more success with them when I covered a fire in Nevada a couple weeks back.  From what I have heard about this tornado, no one was injured.  A number of roofs, fences and cars were damaged extensively and some patio furniture will need to be replaced (time to upgrade to teak furniture maybe with an insurance check).
